X2 X-LCA CO2: Life Cycle Analysis in Early Stage Design Phase

The aim of this project is to find a suitable “carbon foot-printing design framework” which supports the decision-making process during the different stages and gates in a typical engineering process of small powertrains. The following questions are addressed:

• Which data are in early stage development processes available?
• How can these data be used for LCA regarding impact on CO2 balance?
• What precision can be reached for a prediction on CO2 footprint for product life cycle?
